Sunny Stars offers acting and confidence classes to children of all ages, in a fun and friendly environment.

Children can start Sunny Stars as soon as they are in pre-school nursery - and can continue through until they are in S1 at high school.

The emphasis in a Sunny Stars class is on having fun as well as learning useful skills which can be transferred from the stage into other areas of life.

Classes take place on Saturdays, in Linlithgow Chalmers Hall, and in Brightons Community Hall.

Each week at Sunny Stars we follow a programme which includes speech, movement and acting skills.

Children are encouraged to work by themselves as well as in pairs and groups.

The class plays are specially written so there are lines for the children to say as a whole class, when they are less confident, and individual lines which they can deliver as their confidence grows.

At Christmas we hold a Parents' Day in the hall where your child's class is held. The children will perform a short show for parents and friends, giving them the opportunity to see what they have been working on over the term.

During the summer term, we prepare for one production and each child has a part in the play with their own lines to learn.

Since 2005, we have performed our summer show at Falkirk Town Hall as part of the Falkirk Tryst Festival.

Former pupils of Sunny Stars have taken part in productions with local theatre companies including Falkirk Opera, LAMP and Stirling and Bridge of Allan Operatic Society, while others have gained places at Big Bad Wolf Children's Theatre and taken part in professional productions in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
